Aaron was born in July 1972, Dunkirk, NY. Inori was born in May 1973, Takatsuki, Japan. Inori came to the United States in 1994 to study abroad as a college student near Boston, MA. After graduating, she moved to Buffalo for a job opportunity. Aaron and Inori met through the local volleyball social club and started dating in March 2003. In the beginning, we were both not sure if this is a good match. But somehow kept on dating :-) Before too long we became best friends and fell in love.
We got married Oct. 1st 2005. Adopted our first dog named Chu-Chu in November of 2005. A year later, we picked up our things and moved to Portland, OR just because we were convinced it was our new home! However, a year later, Aaron got a great job opportunity at Sunnyvale, CA, so again we picked up our things and moved to CA. We’ve been living here since October of 2007. Here, we adopted our second dog Pumpkin. Now our family is complete, we are extremely happy and thankful that we all found each other.
We like to spend time with animals. We volunteer at local animal rescue group called Furry Friends Rescue (www.furryfriendsrescue.org). We hope to help more organization in the future. We became semi-vegetarian (“semi” because we still eats sea foods.) about 2 years ago. Being compassionate towards animals makes us happy. You think you are doing “for” the animals, but in a lot of times, you are the one being “helped”, “healed” and given so much more. We are really thankful we made the transition. No suffering when we transition – that’s our motto. We transition with joy, not with the feeling of “sacrifice”, because when you sacrifice, you help no one.
This blog is our journey…
